Trecia Leigh

That's all I wanna Say
By: Mart Armand Adiong
A poem dedicated to Trecia Leigh

The town is frosty, and there is woe all around
No one to hold and I’m without a dream to share
Like nobody else care
The moon is novel, but to me it holds no promise
A dark city that is full of sadness

My heart is blue, when suddenly I saw you
It is hardly believable to think , that I’ve met a big shot
Embossed into the deepest stratum of this poor heart
Someone who became a burning name
A flame that I’ll never shame

My existence has found its meaning
That is to be with you, I pray
Promise only you I devote
If only you would let me please
Cross the threshold of bliss

When I saw you smile at me ,I fly
Plus the way you gaze at me I soar high
My heart is grateful
Coz life became so beautiful
The majesty your smile and glimpse bring
Is the most wonderful feeling
All I’m aski’n would it be everlasting?

You do not have to search any longer
Coz here I am, loving you forever
A promise that will last eternally
Till the whole world will end completely

The moment I’m with you my world brings to a halt
Can’t we simply pass the time of day?
Because this affection is growing each day
My heart screams
Shouting like a sun that beams
That's all I wanna say
my Trecia leigh.

The Central 911 DAVAO!

(my group mate rena on Davao's Map)

Yesterday, we had our organizational analysis visit on the Davao Central 911. Our group was very privileged to interview the Control Officer Unit of the institution. I as resident of Davao City is very proud of this institute. For those who do not know as an organization, the Davao City’s Central 911 is a fully integrated, computerized response system linking the people of Davao City to the emergency resources of the government. It is patterned after the emergency dispatch system in the United States and Canada that enables people in need of emergency services by simply dialing 911 on any landline and cellular phone, residents of Davao City are able to access the emergency resources of Central 911. It utilizes the Emergency Computer Aided Dispatch system of the Davao Light and Power Corporation to easily pinpoint the location of the emergency and dispatch the appropriate responder with at least possible delay.
The Central 911 provides assistance on police, medical, fire and rescue emergencies. It even has its own K-9 unit for cases necessitating the use of bomb and drug sniffing canines. With the help of Central 911, it enables public safety agency to respond to emergency cases in a more effective, quick and coordinated manner, thereby saving lives, protecting properties, stopping crimes and preventing in major fire cases in a systemic and efficient way. And mind you it is only in Davao! Next to Candada and United states, something that we Dabawenyos must be proud of.

DANCING SALES LADIES

Last Tuesday, Trecia and I went to NCCC mall to purchase a new wristwatch. Upon choosing what finest timepiece is for us, I was amazed when suddenly the entire sales clerk at the said shopping center danced synchronically upon hearing a particular music. ( wala lang! kakatuwa! ) It was my first time to witness such distinctive event. It's like seing our patients during exercise in BABISTA ! Hehehehe! So, I didn’t think twice to catch the moment.

I'm SORRY Goodbye!

I’m sorry….. Goodbye!
By: Mart Armand A. Adiong

When I think of it
It seemed that It’s just yesterday
When you and I were together everyday
Throughout the darkest night
You and I became each other’s light
Our true love conducts
Will bring us joy to go halves

The minute you’re gone, I cried
The minute I left, you died
But even how much we tried
The love we shared has really got tired

So what’s now?
Now that we’ve parted ways
I guess you could still live through another day
Making friends with me someday

It is just that love that once so strong
Became so weak all along
I never treated you like I should
So what’s the good of loving me as you carry out
Although you always hoot at last nothing
Else would be good enough for you

You asked me if we could still make it
But for me it is just too late
Please understand me
For love has just fall out from me

All I can say is I’m sorry
It is the hardest word maybe
For the last time I want to say goodbye
Hoping you could forgive me as time passes by

TUMBA LATA.

Since there’s no class enjoying the blessing of holiday, yesterday I was hanging around our village, I saw these handful of children playing TUMBA LATA along the street. As I look at them, I was pretty nostalgic back in times when I was still an innocent kid. In times when my childhood friends like JJ, Micahel, Marco, Maureen, Maya, Michelle, Lumen etc. were continuously playing the said Filipino pioneered game plus the other amusing pastime that we enjoy the most like shatong, jolens, pogs, texts, lastiko, brus, milo2x, karate2x, luthang, giragira, taguanay ug uban pa. How I wish I could go back on those days when everyday seemed to be a celebration. Celebration of childhood. Celebration of friends. And simply a celebration of the gift of life that in the eyes of child is so beautiful, no worries, no uncertainties, no suspicions, no doubts, simply problem free. Al Koran said " For a child the world is a Wonerful Place , endlessly exciting, full of magic, you grow older and tend to forget that the world is a wonderful place. Still full of magic if you have eyes to see it.". This is perfectly true, as we grow older our concerns broaden and become wide we tend to be bothered with a lot of stuffs that we are not used to think about when we were younger. Here comes responsibilities in school, work, lovelife, gimmick life, money etc. Well, that’s naturally part of this cycle, we must not remain stagnant to survive this being. Cliché as it may be but wherever stage of existence we are in, to satisfy every phase of this cycle that we call life we just need to live life to the fullest.

ANG BOBOT.

By: Mart Armand Adiong

Crying baby, Yuckee, American ug uban
Mao na ang ginailugan, sa mga batang palaban

Ug karong ako dako na
Ang Bobot akong nakit-an pa
Didto sa Tindahan, mga tira-tira ang kauban
Wa nako gipalampas, nga paliton, ang kending gikadak-an
Sa akong pagkuha akong nakita, ang presyo wa nagka baba
Ang sa unang tulo piso, karon isa piso
Ang sa unang lima kabuok
karon 3 nalang! ay kagilok

Oh Bobot…Bobot…Oh bobot…
Kasakit sa akong buot
Nga ikaw hikalimtan, kauban sa gugma kong kaguot
Unta ikaw pa makit-an, hangtod sa kahangturan
Kauban sa akong gibati sa higala kong dako ug mani.
