POVERTY

HELLO FOLKS. Today is October 30, 2006 !haaay! kapooy! I've just enrolled myself for this second semester... huhuhu! di nako muskwela kappooooy! hehe..net2x sa ko la lingaw... ugma nako magbayad kay daghan pa tao.. ay... wa pa diay pangbayad!tsktsktsk...

Anyway, for my first post I just wanna share you this.

I was going home from my enrollment today, when 4 boys about the age of 10-11, jumped to the jeepney from nowhere. I noticed that they were selling peanuts, wearing dirty old rugged clothes and no footwears of any kind.

They were talking about something they stole, a cigarette lighter, and then suddenly, shifted, teasing, about their “manoys”. Okay, okay, reproductive organ, their penises.

“si jose, sa sobrang liit ng titi, daliri na niya yung jinajakol niya” “kinakantot nga niya yung pusa nila” “parang kasing liit ng titi ng baby yung titi ni RJ” (mas bastos ibisaya)

Yeah, they seem very offensive to be posted, but I wanted to give an insight to this behavior. As a student, I am crushed with this personality behavior. Clearly, from their physical look and actions, they are poor. Social status, here, plays an important factor in developing the young.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal stated, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan” . Of course, this is so used qoutation. But still, true to its meaning. These young people are poor from inside. They are corrupted. Mostly would say, corrupted mind. But, I believe that theyre minds are not corrupted, its their personality.

From our sociology class, if I’m mistaken, it is the society that dictates what the young would be. If the child grew in a good environment, then the child would be well-educated and well-groomed, and vice-versa. If the society dictates, then the products (kids) follows the society. It will be also true, that the products of the society will continue what they have learned from their own society, and transfer to the next generation. The process would then repeat, and then repeat, until it is broken by a social change. The social change here, refers to the corruption itself.

Indeed, corruption of the young is corruption in its fullest form.

Thus, even how stressful and tiresome schooling is I still go because I don't wanna be like them and my sons and daughters in the future.

ANG TUNAY NA NUMERO UNO

Just want to share this wondeful article written by Darwin G. Amojelar of the Manila Times.

ABS-CBN leads GMA 7 in viewership share

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. leads the nationwide television viewership share against rival GMA Network Inc., according to AGB Nielsen Media Research (Philippines) nationwide survey released Thursday.
The AGB Nielsen’s first nationwide urban television audience measurement (NUTAM) shows that ABS-CBN’s 43-percent viewership share put the company ahead of rival GMA Networks Inc., which garnered 35.2-percent rating, during the survey period October 8 to October 13.
NUTAM is an expansion of the current AGBNMR panel installation in Metro Manila homes. Using the on-line "peoplemeter," it provides a total picture of television viewership in the entire Philippines through 24-hour monitoring of the panel homes.
A total of 1,500 panel homes will represent a universe of 7.26 million national urban TV homes from the following areas: North and Central Luzon with 300 homes; Metro Manila, 400 homes; South Luzon, 300 homes; Visayas, 300, homes; and Mindanao, 200 homes.
The survey also disclosed that ABS-CBN led audience rating in North and Central Luzon with 40 percent; Visayas, 57.3 percent; Mindanao, 62.2 percent; Metro Cebu, 55.2 percent; Metro Davao, 57.7 percent; and Iloilo with 50.6 percent.
On the other hand, GMA led in areas in Metro Manila, with 40.6 percent compared to ABS 35.2 percent and in Southern Luzon of 38.3 percent versus rival’s 35.2 percent.
Maya Reforma, AGBNMR (Philippines) general manager, explained that the expansion provides comprehensive and relevant high-quality data for business and nation building and strengthens the Philippines’ development surge.
The AGB Nielsen said Luzon registered the highest TV ownership at 92 percent and cable ownership at 23 percent.
The survey also shows that the Visayas has the largest chunk of class E at 29 percent and the most number of homes with children at 64 percent, with Mindanao hugging has the largest chunk of class D at 60 percent and the most number of families.

In other words.. ABS-CBN is undeniably the NUMBER 1 NETWORK in the country not only in MEGA MANILA which the other network always brag and claim.
